BEACH

The most beautiful beaches are free “Playa Pescadores”, “Playa Paraiso” and “Playa Santa Fe”. If you have the chance to visit this place, it’s a must. You can visit the public beach scene after going to Tulum’s Archaeological Site. It is about 10 minute walk from the ruins.

TULUM ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE

Arrive just after 8am, well before the huge crowds. We strongly recommend hiring an official guide from INAH (Anthropology and History National Institute) just outside the official ticket office, it will be a completely different experience and it is not expensive. Bring a hat, sunscreen, tenis and a lot of water. It is a unique archaeological site since it is in front of the ocean, where others are not. On your way to the entrance you will find some people trying to discourage you to continue and inviting you to go to a boat trip, to use a different entrance, go to the beach, and will tell you that you are still more than 4km away and that there will be long lines. This is not true. Just ignore them and in less than 1Km you will find the entrance to this amazing place.

TEMAZCAL

In ancient Mesoamerica, the Temazcal was used as part of a curative ceremony thought to purify the body after exertion such as after a battle or a ceremonial ball game. It was also used for healing the sick, improving health, and for women to give birth. The temazcal continues to be used today in Indigenous cultures of Mexico and Central America that were part of the ancient rituals for spiritual healing and health enrichment reasons. This is an opportunity to work with the 4 elements and create a space of sensory deprivation, imitating the mothers womb and giving you a sense of rebirth. This sweat lodge environment allows you to reconnect with yourself and address any physical or emotional areas you want to heal.

SIAN KAAN

The Sian Ka’an Biosphere, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest protected natural reserve in the Caribbean. It is located south of Tulum and covers over 650,000 hectares. It is highly recommended to visit it on a boat tour this way you will get to discover the wildlife of this remote area. Sail through stunning landscapes looking for dolphins, follow the sea turtles, snorkel on the second largest reef in the world, relax in the crystal clear waters of Punta Allen’s natural pools, and enjoy a delicious lunch in the fishing village.

MUYIL

Discover a Mayan archaeological site and a stunning natural reserve. Muyil tour is an ecological adventure far from the crowds. You will start your visit with an exceptional and unique archaeological site: Muyil, located in the middle of the jungle. PUNTA LAGUNA

Punta Laguna is the gateway to the Otoch Ma’ax Yetel Kooh National Protected Area, home to spider monkeys, howler monkeys, and many other types of animals and plants. Here you can find information about visiting Punta Laguna. Punta Laguna Nature Reserve is operated by and directly benefits local Maya people. In 2002, the community of Punta Laguna founded the Najil Tucha cooperative, which is collectively run by the approximately 30 families in town. Revenue from tourism is divided between the families.

CENOTE AKTUN-HA

Cenotes are natural deep-water wells (sinkholes), which are fed by the filtration of rain and by the currents of underground rivers that are born in the heart of the earth. That is why when swimming in a cenote you feel so much freshness. Cenotes (sinkholes) owe their name to the Mayans, who baptized with the word Dz’onot, which means ‘cavern with water’, and from that its current name was derived, cenotes. Cenote Aktun-Ha is an open-air cenote, that stands out for their natural beauty. It is covered with plants and flowers, which dress the rock with different shades of green, red and orange, as well as the great variety of birds and butterflies that live there.
